Sentel ("Sentel", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website sentel.net, the Sentel customer portal, and the Sentel cyber threat intelligence platform (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide. When you contact us, request a demo, register for API access, or are provisioned a customer portal account, we collect details such as your name, business email address, company name, job title, and the contents of your message.
  • Account and usage information. When you use the customer portal or the Sentel API, we record authentication events, API requests, and related technical metadata needed to operate and secure the Services.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our servers automatically log the IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps of each request. We use this for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and service diagnostics.

How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
  • To respond to inquiries, demo requests, and support requests;
  • To create and administer accounts, API keys, and licenses, including sending onboarding and service emails;
  • To protect the Services and our customers, including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies, such as session cookies, to keep you signed in to the customer portal and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

How We Share Information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting and email delivery providers (for example, Microsoft 365, which we use to send service and onboarding emails). These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Sentel, our customers, or the public. Some pages embed third-party content, such as Google Maps; interacting with that content is subject to the third party's own privacy policy.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes and are then deleted or anonymized.

Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls, and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Services where appropriate.
